Where do I begin… what a honor and privilege it was to photograph this big day for Nick & Niki. There are moments when I get emotional, but never teary-eyed and shaking while seeing the bride approach the alter. Niki is one of my longtime greatest friends and was a bridesmaid in my wedding. We were roommates for 3 years in Chicago, traveled the world together while working together at LeaderTreks, have been through some of the highest highs and lowest lows together, and have remained dear friends throughout the years, despite distance and any changes that life throws our way. I loved hearing stories progress from when she first met Nick up until now. They visited me in Dallas a few months ago for their engagement session, and now tied the knot at the beautiful Ashelynn Manor outside of Houston. Despite a weekend full of stormy weather, Niki wasn’t phased by it in the slightest, as you can see from her beaming grins in just about every image :) Having a very tight knit family, it was such a fun day with so many super cute kids running around and it was overall just a true reflection of them, their love, and their families celebrating. Nick & Niki, I wish you a lifetime of wedded bliss. I love you deeply and couldn’t be more thrilled for you two beginning your happily ever after together :)
These images were shot by me and my husband Todd who helped second shoot the wedding. I was blown away by his creative eye and capturing some of my most favorite images of the day!

The LSU umbrella outside where Niki was getting ready = perfection.

This final shot was a reenactment from Nick’s grandparents wedding (I believe). Perfectly sealed with a kiss :) Happy Honeymooning in Jamaica, friends!
I think I’ve looked at this post about 7 times and I love it more every time. Niki looked so amazingly beautiful!!!!! Great photos Leslie. So sad I couldn’t be there but these photos make me feel like I at least experienced a part of it. :)
